POSITION: Inside Sales Representative
Join this rapidly growing company that provides outsourced back
office services as a crucial member of the Sales team.
- Call, qualify and rank leads from multiple sources (events,
campaigns, etc.)
- Distribute qualified leads to Field Sales and ensure that high
priority leads are promptly contacted
- Cold call prospects to identify business opportunities for
pursuit by Field Sales
Tracking all activities in contact management database
Responsibilities
- Outbound calls to prospects to identify leads
- Distribute qualified leads to field sales for prompt action
- National and regional event lead follow-up
- Direct mail campaign lead follow-up
- Email campaign leads follow-up
- Targeted list prospecting
- House list relationship nurturing
- Inbound call qualification
- Web lead qualification via phone and email
- Administration - diligently track sales progress using
Salesforce.com
- Provide ongoing, recurring activity reports to management that
include detailed lead information
- Systematically append missing or incorrect contact information
- Participate in weekly update meetings with head of Marketing
- Actively participate in team and department meetings
Knowledge and Professional Skills
- Stay informed of new products, enhancements, regulatory
changes, industry trends and other relevant information
- Understand the impact of this information on the selling
process
- Continuously improve by incorporating what you learn into your
sales presentation
Job Requirements
- BA/BS required
- Prior inside sales experience (2 years preferred)
- Solid track record of sales success (sales accomplishments
required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Web savvy with strong ability to multitask on a computer
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent listening and questioning skills
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously and work in
a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to work independently and also participate and
contribute as a member of a team
- Motivated self starter with a can-do attitude
- Financial services experience, national accounts or wholesaling
experience a plus
- Must have excellent presentation skills
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills, both
external and internal
- Ability to analyze research and put it into the appropriate
presentation format
- Must have the ability to multitask, build relationships and
think strategically to deliver ideas and information that will
promote revenue-generating products
- Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
- PC literate (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
