POSITION: Director, Area Marketing
Description
Join this prestigious, global Professional Services firm to take
their marketing efforts to new heights. Work closely with the
Senior Director of Northeast Area Marketing, the area marketing team
and the practice and industry leadership on marketing strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Co-lead the Northeast Area marketing team with the goal of
driving new business and enabling relationship development with a
primary focus on Middle Market accounts
- Provide the enthusiasm and focus to help the team reach the
firm’s goals for profitability – participates in hiring, training,
developing, coaching and retaining personnel
- Understand the firm’s market positioning within the assigned
geographic area with the ability to articulate buyer values by
translating client needs into effective marketing strategies and
programs
- Cascade knowledge from national messaging to implement
area-wide programs, providing input and insight in strategic
development
- Team with the Senior Director to manage the area budget, which
includes establishing controls for helping to ensure that budget
dollars are used effectively
- Apply strong analytical skills, focusing on key strategic
issues, developing prioritizations and an appropriate sense of
urgency
Job Requirements
- Ten years of progressive marketing or related business
experience, with significant project management and people
management experience within a professional services firm or large
corporate/matrixed environment
- Five years of business-to-business marketing or
relationship-based marketing experience
- Experience leading staff in a team-based environment serving as
team builder and coach
- In-depth knowledge of major marketing activities including:
brand planning and execution, market research and analysis,
database activities, internal communications, and development of
strategic marketing plan
- Experience planning and managing a multi-million dollar project
budgeting and cost control
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a marketing or business
related field from an accredited college/university
- Track record in fostering cooperation among varying teams and
individuals, including many that are not direct reports
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as
experience working at the C-level and with leadership
